Principal Objective
Under the supervision of the Center’s Programs Director, the Center Aquatics Program Manager will assist the Programs Team with the primary responsibility for ensuring the success of the aquatics adult and youth programs in alignment with PCC’s goals, mission, vision, and values.
Principal Roles and Responsibilities
- Hours: Full-Time Salary (Exempt)
- Program Leadership: Assist in leading, developing, and implementing annual strategy and implementation plans for all Center Aquatics programs. Set, monitor, adjust, and meet program metrics and goals to ensure program sustainability and contribution to PCC’s overall goals and objectives. Assist in leading programming, instruction, staffing, and financial processes to ensure service, staff, and operational excellence. (40%)
- Staff Leadership: Assist in driving staff recruitment, hiring, on boarding, training, leadership development, structure, and staff reviews to meet PCC’s leadership development goals and human resource requirements. Maximize program staff contribution towards achieving PCC’s mission, vision, and values. Assist in leading programs specific Bonfires and Campfires. Conduct Firesides with direct reports. Primary owner for meeting and resolving human resource requirements and issues for their staff. (35%)
- Staff Member: Establish, maintain, and strengthen collaborative working relationships with other PCC staff especially other program Directors and coordinators. Develop and implement continual improvement processes for program communications for staff, members, partners, and communities. Administer and enforce PCC’s policies and procedures. Actively participate in organization-wide activities as required (i.e. staff retreats, team meetings, etc.). Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Programs Director. (25%)
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education/Experience: BA/BS from an accredited 4 year institution, minimum, or equivalent, experience as coordinator managing multiple programs and staff. Experience creating program strategic project scopes, monitoring industry program trends, developing pricing strategies and targeting strategies based on demographic data, assisting with marketing campaigns through articles, promotions and other strategies.
- Certifications: Must possess current Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification, and ARC Lifeguard Certification and/or Coaches Safety Training Certification. Additional specialty/certifications preferred for Aquatic program training capabilities.
- Physical Demands: This job requires exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly. Frequently required to walk, stand, sit and talk or hear as well as required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must aid or assist participants in a timely and safe manner while continuing the task at hand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Must have a high degree of energy, be physically fit, and have the endurance to complete the workout as well as aid participants if needed.
Compensation: $5,500.00 - $6,000.00 per month
