PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support to the Family Ministry Pastor/Director and the respective teams. This position supports various office and event functions, including preparing correspondence, answering phones, monitoring office inventory, and ordering supplies, maintaining calendars, and handling various other assignments as needed. The role ensures effective internal and external communications.

PRINCIPLE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports directly to the Family Ministry Pastor and collaborates closely with the Kids and Students teams. It involves interaction with PCC staff, parents, volunteers, schools, and the wider community. The role is an integral part of the Family Ministry team and works with all ministries within PCC.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
General Duties
  • Maintain and support database records, providing training as needed.
  • Facilitate inter-department and volunteer communication.
  • Coordinate and manage departmental calendars.
  • Maintain meeting spaces, offices, and storage areas, ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Manage the Family Ministry Pastor’s meeting schedules with external contacts.
Ministry Specific Duties
  • Assist with planning and promoting events, including registration, facilities and rental coordination, and budget tracking.
  • Support staff with check-in systems and reports and manage Planning Center Online (PCO) workflow resources and calendar management.
  • Facilitate onboarding and workflow integration for new families and volunteers.
  • Support the Family Ministry Pastor by managing their calendar, preparing for meetings, handling correspondence, and processing expense reports.
  • Assist with communications from Family Ministry, including writing, designing, and coordinating outreach efforts to parents, students, and external groups.
  • Oversee the production of publications and develop templates, forms, and procedures.
  • Ensure participant safety by implementing and adhering to all Family Ministry and Safe Church policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support Family Ministry goals.

  • Team-oriented, capable of working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, parents, and the student leadership team.
  • Understands the Bay Area as a mission field, recognizing that less than 3% of the Peninsula is aware of a Christian worldview.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • A faithful follower of Jesus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree or greater preferred (current college enrollment is acceptable).
  • Minimum one-year related experience preferred.
  • Experience in a church, school, or community setting is highly preferred
  • The ability to lead worship is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to interact and engage with school-aged youth
  • Must be able to lift, transport, and set up equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Extensive walking and standing across a 14-acre campus in all weather conditions is required
  • Must have a clean, current DMV record
  • DOJ background clearance is required
  • Must adhere to and model PCC’s Safe Church policies
WORKWEEK
  • This position is full-time, non-exempt with 40 hours per week.  
  • This position is primarily a T-F/Sunday job
  • This position will be expected to work on Sundays, some evenings, and some holidays.
Compensation: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
