PRINCIPLE OBJECTIVE
Responsible for leading our families and groups through the discipleship pathway, focusing on deepening individuals’ relationships with God through Bible study,  groups, classes, and other intentional practices aiming to guide members toward maturity in their faith journey.   

PRINCIPLE WORKING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Lead Pastor and provides leadership and guidance to the following staff and volunteer ministry leaders:   Small group leaders, Families, Women, Men, Children’s ministry, and related outreach programs.

PROFILE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 
  • Deep theological understanding; Strong knowledge of scripture and Christian doctrine.
  • Ability to articulate biblical truths in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Skillful at building trust and rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to motivate and empower others to participate in discipleship, especially families.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for guiding others on their faith journey.
  • Ability to discern needs and respond appropriately, sensitively, and proactively.
  • Demonstrated leader.
  • Skilled teaching and preaching abilities.
  • Good oral, interpersonal, and written skills and a high degree of professionalism.
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Design and implement structured programs to guide new believers and established members through progressive stages of spiritual growth.
  • Disciple the people who facilitate groups, where individuals can study scripture, apply teaching to their lives, and share their faith journey.
  • Oversee and implement a milestone discipleship path for families.
  • Serve as a mentor and coach providing personalized guidance and support to individuals seeking to deepen their spiritual lives.
  • Oversee various programs targeted towards different demographics within the congregation and coordinate them with the rhythm of small groups.
  • Work with the Lead Pastor to welcome and integrate new attendees into the church community.
  • Work closely with other pastors and staff to ensure alignment with the church’s overall vision for spiritual formation.
  • Deliver sermons and teaching sessions on biblical principles and discipleship practices as asked by the Lead Pastor.
  • Direct various ministry groups ensuring vision focus, clear communication, budget adherence, and cooperative collaboration.
  • Other duties as directed to ensure progress toward ministry goals.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
  • Faithful follower of Jesus and demonstrated experience in helping others to follow Christ.
  • Ordained minister and/or openness to being ordained in the Evangelical Covenant Church.
  • Masters of Divinity or equivalent preferred; DMin., CPE or APC certification a plus.
  • Minimum of five years related experience in a church or other ministry setting.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have a clean, current  DMV record.
  • DOJ background clearance required.
  • Must adhere to and model PCC’s Safe Church policies.
WORKWEEK
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • This position will be expected to participate in Sunday Worship.
  • Some weekends and evenings
Compensation: $115,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
